Unfortunately, it brings out a couple more. Folks like starbuck, UTVols2, and a couple more at least let you know they're not all morons.

Anyway back to what the thread was supposed to be about:
I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Clintwood bring the state title back to SWVA. Gone are the WCs and Franklins. The Wave have a solid defense, a deep stable of capable ballcarriers, and the best kicking game in the state. They also have enough size and speed to get up and down the field.
I'm not going to argue about it, I was simply stating that bad judgement in the last 4 min. are what cost Burton the game. Anybody who was there knows exactly what I'm talking about.
Come on Clintwood. Bring back the gold!
I see a high tide in Bath County's future coming from Clintwood.

IMO, I have no idea how they'll do if they get to the title game. From trying to compare scores of Bath Co. with teams that I know a little about, Clintwood should win. I know nothing about any of the east coast teams, so if they beat Bath this week the 15-30 picks of the score on here would be kind of pointless and stupid considering there are maybe enough people on here that could be counted on 1 hand that have seen those teams play. I hope they win because I hope they win every game they play, it'll be kind of hollow to me if they do win because it's not being done in D2. It feels like winning the JV title. I didn't want them to drop. It's not that I don't want them to play in D1, I'd just be happier if they wouldn't have to play teams like St. Paul, Twin Springs, or Twin Valley in the playoffs to get there. If the PV's and Honaker's of the world who have 500 students or less were D1, it'd mean a lot more to me.
IMO, the state title is Clintwoods to lose. I like their physical style of of play. I know I will be pulling for them.
On a side note, to all Clintwood fans...congrats. It was obvious you were the better team Saturday. You all deserved to win.

I see Clintwood barely making it through Bath County by a score of about 24-14 and then being blown out by Buffalo Gap.
Likewise, for Div. 2 I see Gate City miraculously scraping by George Wythe (by anywhere from 1-3 points) and then getting blasted in the state title by whichever monster they'll be up against.
I just don't think Clintwood or Gate City are anywhere near state-champion-quality teams. They've certainly been shocking at times (Clintwood over PV and Burton, as a great example), but at other times (Clintwood being crushed by GC, GC being stomped by PV) they've looked completely mediocre at best.
Best of luck to both teams. Not trying to put any of these schools/teams down, just stating how I feel about what will happen. If either wins state, consider me extremely shocked.
